Mental Health Coalition Town Hall: Understanding Hawaiʻi's New Associate License Law

  • 3 Jun 2026
  • 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
  • Zoom

Hawaiʻi's new Associate License law will take effect on July 1, 2026, creating a new pathway for mental health professionals to practice under supervision while completing the experience requirements needed for independent licensure.

Join members of Hawaiʻi's Mental Health Coalition for an informational town hall reviewing the implementation of the new law and its anticipated impact on mental health professionals, employers, supervisors, students, and access to care across the state.

Topics will include:
• Eligibility requirements for associate licensure
• Supervision considerations
• Reimbursement provisions
• Implementation timelines
• Anticipated workforce and practice impacts

This event may be particularly valuable for LMFTs, clinical supervisors, associate-level clinicians, graduate students, practice owners, and behavioral health employers seeking to understand how these changes may affect their work and the future of mental health care in Hawaiʻi.

Registration is required. Additional Zoom details will be provided upon registration.
